PROJECT OVERVIEW: Standing up and administering Linux and Windows based network computer systems

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Take full responsibility of multiple existing networks that utilize multiple ISP links, VPN remote connectivity, complex routing, and administer iptables based firewalls on Linux
* Provide system-engineering services to troubleshoot/correct network, system and software failures as reported by network users of the networks
* Create a disaster recovery plan
* Eagerness and competency communicating progress in written and oral form to management and customers directly (network diagrams, penetration testing reports, etc.)
* Applying system updates and configuration for various Linux (CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.) and Windows systems

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Security Clearance: Secret Required, TS/SCI Desired

* 4+ years experience with Linux including routing, iptables, ufw, firewalld, ldap, group policies, etc.
* 2+ years experience in Windows administration including domain controllers and combined Linux/Windows network environments
* BS in computer science or similar or equivalent work experience
* Ability to lead entry level system administrators
* Ability and willingness to be flexible and eager to take on tasks

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

* Devops experience including virtualization technologies (Docker, KVM/Libvirt, Vmware, etc.)
* Active Directory, DNS and Group Policy expertise
* Ability to rack and stack servers
