Job Description

The Legal Investigations Team analyzes current trends in user safety, identifies and investigates security threats, and develops solutions to mitigate future risk. We pride ourselves in helping prevent online and real-world harm by quickly identifying and escalating sources of abusive behavior. The team is looking for a detail-oriented, motivated investigator and manager who has a passion for online safety, conducting pattern and trend analysis, applying critical thinking skills, and helping other team members succeed. Successful candidates will be able to assess and analyze large amounts of data in order to identify sources of potential threats and abuses and manage others as they do the same. In addition, the candidate must have the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, small but growing environment, and work proactively with various teams across the organization. The successful candidate will also excel at managing projects across organizations and improving workflows, as well as have demonstrated success in using analytics to drive understanding. Finally, the candidate will have the ability to scale an organization, utilize automated systems, and develop team metrics.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Manage a team of analysts and provide resources necessary for their success



Prioritize and lead investigations that pose a high risk of harm to the community and identify sources of abusive behavior

Grow investigations team and help determine strategic direction

Identify trends, develop metrics, and gather and synthesize relevant information for presentations to cross-functional teams

Identify and work with other teams to improve tools and techniques available to the team and to mitigate future risk

Interface with cross-functional partners, law enforcement, and industry partners, when appropriate

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor's degree



8+ years of investigations experience in legal, risk or safety domains

Management experience focused on supporting people

Experience with internet infrastructure and networking fundamentals

Experience working with analytical tools and internet based research tools

Experience conducting online investigations

Knowledge about online safety

Experience building cross-functional relationships

Time management and organizational experience

Experience protecting highly confidential information

Experience scaling an org and incorporating automation into workflows

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Fluency in other language(s)



Experience using SQL and other data analytics programming languages, as well as data visualization software

Experience applying critical path project management

Lean six sigma training experience
