Job Description

Morgan Stanley's Leadership Development team is responsible for strategizing, developing, and implementing leadership development initiatives globally. This role is primarily North America focused, with responsibilities to communicate and leverage resources globally.

Job Description

The Leadership Development Associate will:

* Contribute to creating / updating the leadership development strategy that aligns with the Morgan Stanley culture
* Research latest themes/trends in developing leaders
* Consider adult learning and leadership development best practices in day-to-day decisions
* Assist with determining the areas of focus and content for different leadership development initiatives using data and Firm metrics
* Consider new ways of developing leaders, in line with Morgan Stanley's culture
* Work with HR Generalists in planning and implementing leadership development initiatives within Business Unit
* Work closely with external vendors to ensure approach align with Morgan Stanley's philosophy of how leaders develop
* Liaise with Global Team to ensure consistency of content, and experience where possible
* Plan and coordinate key initiatives, such as programs, transition support, and coaching assignments
* Prep internal senior leader speakers
* Liaise with events planning team

Work with the Employee Development Solutions (EDS) team:

* Provide input and guidance on topics related to leadership development
* Utilize / customize internal content or vet external vendor content

Partner closely with the Diversity and Inclusion team on initiatives to ensure consistent approach

Skills Required

* Commercial mindset
* Able to translate business needs into development solutions
* Highly collaborative - ability to work effectively with diverse colleagues and peers to deliver business results
* Ability to change or be flexible as business priorities adjust
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Comfortable analyzing qualitative and quantitative talent analytics
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
* Strong project management capabilities
* Ability to take ownership, work autonomously, and be accountable - while being aware of when to seek guidance

Experience

* 2-3 years experience in Leadership Development
* Corporate experience preferably in Financial Services
* Master Degree in Adult Learning I-O Psychology preferrable
