Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Web Application Developer who will be responsible for design, implementation and support for our growing portfolio of applications. This person will be part of the Direct to Consumer team, working on new features for the GuardianDirect.com site. You work alongside business partners, product owners, and developers to build and craft highly interactive, dynamic, and data driven applications for various business units across the enterprise.

Responsibilities:

* Act independently and as part of a team to translate business and technical requirements into well-engineered, tested, and deployed solutions.
* Collaborate with Technical Teams, Technical Managers, Project Managers, and Subject Matter Gurus from the businesses to understand, plan and implement projects.
* Ensure compliance with security, infrastructure processes, policies and other administrative/corporate procedures.
* You will insure project success by providing feedback after reviewing project plans, timelines, estimates, and requirements documents; identifies risks and mitigation strategies.
* Participate in code reviews and paired programming.
* You will take initiative to find opportunities to do things better, faster, and smarter. You should be focused and dedicated, able to think beyond the immediate challenge and anticipate using extraordinary discernment and problem-solving abilities.
* Contribute to creative idea generation and lead POC's.

Qualifications:

* 5 years of meaningful experience in delivering line of business applications utilizing a diverse tool set.
* Two or more (2 ) years of experience with PHP development
* Two or more (2 ) years of experience with single page application development
* Experience with using ReactJS and Redux
* Experience with developing custom modules for Drupal 8
* BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related field.
* Experience working with creative complex web applications
* Experience with Agile/Scrum.
* Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills
* Individual should have development life cycle experience.
* Ability to develop implementation plan for large features
