Reporting into the Wolters Kluwer Health CTO, this role is aligned with the Health AI/Data Science initiatives and is crucial to the innovation process of one of the leading global healthcare technology companies.

In the role of technical program manager, you will be responsible for building and driving programs from start to finish. You will need to align with internal product and technology stakeholders and work with the software and data science/AI teams to take programs from early the conceptualization phase, all the way to commercial release. You should be willing to take on challenges of unknown dimensions, and work hand in hand with clinicians, customers, and data scientists to prototype and test early concepts. You will need to have very strong program management skill, strong technical skills, strategic thinking, deep curiosity, business acumen, and the ability to think fast and act fast.

* Lead technical programs from early concepts to market introduction
* Manage a portfolio of programs including all schedules and milestones by creating detailed program plans, forecasts, and resource plans.
* Manage in an environment of ambiguous needs and competing priorities
* Breakdown complex programs into manageable chunks, and effectively drive for clarity and convergence on crisp requirements
* Write specifications and translate business needs to technical requirements
* Align with multiple stakeholders, including the product management teams and the technology teams
* Clearly communicate goals, responsibilities, and expected deliverables
* Produce clear and concise key stakeholder and executive reports on program status, including financial reconciliation.
* Establish best practices, procedures and quality objectives including metrics for assessing progress of key programs.
* Rapidly investigate different approaches to solutions
* Adopt and drive for lean principles, and work in an Agile environment
* Remain current with evolving healthcare industry trends and technologies

Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field

Experience:

* 7+ years of work experience in technology
* 4+ years of experience in technical program management
* 3+ years of experience in modern programming languages such as Java or C#
* 3+ years of recent healthcare experience is highly preferred.
* Experience is product management is highly preferred
* Experience with complex distributed systems and modern web technologies
* Experience writing technical specifications or requirements
* Cross functional experience, within a global/matrixed organization.

Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:

* Very strong oral and written communication skills
* Self-starter, willing to jump in
* Healthcare experience is required
* Strong business acumen and an understanding of the healthcare business
* Ability and willingness to rapidly learn new concepts and technologies
* Strong collaboration skills and desire to work in a highly collaborative environment
* Ability to work and resolve conflicting needs and requirements.
* Proven ability to build positive working relationships across multiple groups within the organization
* Proven ability to work with ambiguity and utilize sound judgement and decision making skills
* Proven ability to work and collaborate with subject matter experts and customers
* Strong organization skills, ability to prioritize multiple project demands.

Travel - Domestic travel 5% to 10% of total work time
