Job Description

Major Purpose

Configures, implements, and maintains the various technologies managed by the Information Technology Department. Supports development, Quality Assurance, and production website infrastructures in a multiple datacenter 24/7 environment. Assesses and identifies appropriate solutions to be integrated into the company's systems operation and makes recommendations for implementation. As a Lead Engineer you are the go-to person for company's computer hardware and software needs, providing front line user support for all of company's internal tools and technologies. You troubleshoot, respond to inquiries and find solutions to technical challenges. Beyond the day-to-day, you improve the company user experience by contributing to longer term projects and documentation efforts. You are highly technical and are comfortable problem solving with multiple operating systems (like OS X, Linux, Windows) and a range of devices (including desktops/laptops, phone systems, video conferencing and various wireless devices). You occasionally partner with various teams including security, networking and infrastructure. You're a fast learner and great communicator who can support the IT needs of global offices of all sizes and company's personnel of varying technical backgrounds.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Innovate and design internal solutions that allow us to scale at a good cost/value ratio

Identify and problem solve complex systemic challenges spanning multiple systems and teams as they relate to corporate IT initiatives; with or without third parties and managing third party work product as SME/lead. This may include designing systems or services from the ground up.

Partner with internal service owners and teams to evaluate technical data, create recommendations, obtain consensus, plan and execute service upgrades and changes.

Automate and/or execute IT infrastructure-related projects such as platform migrations and information security policy updates.

Develop tools and solutions to increase the operational efficiency of the IT change management process with focus on excellent user journeys or experiences.

Requirements Minimum Qualifications

* Must be 18 years of age or older.
* Must successfully complete pre-employment screening process

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* Experience in providing infrastructure solutions for internal / external customers.
* Experience in automation with scripting or programming languages such as Bash, Python, Java, and

JavaScript.

* Knowledge of at least three of the following skill-sets within IT Operations: Windows, Unix,

networking, scripting and automation, application troubleshooting.

* Knowledge of complex IT infrastructure and ability to troubleshoot challenges.
* Systematic problem solving approach; ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and work

effectively in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.

* Excellent customer service, organizational, prioritization, multitasking, communication and

leadership skills.

* Experience working in a high-capacity, mission-critical web serving environment
* Extensive knowledge of best practices and protocols in a web environment
* Experience with system administration in a production Vmware ESX environmentvirtualized

environment (VMWare, Xen, Hyper-V, CloudStack, Openstack, KVM, etc.)

* Experience with networking and security infrastructure consisting of routers, switches, load

balancers firewalls, Intrusion detection system (IDS), event correlation tools, etc

* Working knowledge of Networking protocols- Transmission Control Protocol (TCP)/user Datagram

Protocol (UDP) Domain Name system (DNS), Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP), Simple Network

Management Protocol (SNMP), Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP), Typertext Transfer Protocol Secure

(HTTPS)

* Windows and LINUX server experience, including expertise in system installation, monitoring, imaging, configuration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, capacity planning, and security procedures

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent comprehensive experience in large environments.

15+ years of complex and comprehensive increase in responsibility across multiple areas of unix, linux, storage, and/or automation

This position does have budget requirement.

Travel:

Less than 20 percent
