What's the role?

HERE, is seeking a talented Lead Software Engineer to develop feature recognition software which transforms rich vehicle data into next generation content for the Here platform. In this role the successful candidate will lead a small team to develop, test, and maintain computer vision and machine learning software applications. This is an opportunity to work with a talented team of Computer Vision and 3D specialists in delivering solutions to help with HERE's mapping and location intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:

* Supervise a team of junior software engineers
* Extensive experience in production software engineering, software architecture design and implementation
* Software development of computer vision and machine learning applications from algorithm prototypes and specifications
* Software architecture, design, review, and test
* Software refactoring and algorithm re-structuring to improve performance, reuse, and maintainability
* Investigation and root cause analysis of software defects
* Maintenance of software code repository
* Test and deployment of software releases

Who are you?

* A BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
* Strong C++ and Python software development skills
* Experience working with large software project workflows, including:
* build systems (CMake, etc.)
* revision control (git, etc.)
* code review systems (Gerrit, etc.)
* continuous integration (Jenkins, etc.)


* Experience with image processing, computer vision, deep learning, or point cloud processing (and related libraries, such as OpenCV, PCL, Caffe, etc.) is a plus
* Excellent written and oral communication/English language skills
