Job Responsibilities

In this role you will be working on the design, development and support including continuous integration for the mobility solution that is being developed as part of developing ViaSat's high performance satellite solution.

You will work closely with multiple teams and stakeholders from different domains to figure out the best solution that integrates with other components of the system by evaluating how to make complex systems work better together.

You will be responsible for mentoring junior employees in the team, drive schedule and resources along with tasks that you are directly responsible for.

Requirements

* 8+ years of software development experience with focus on software architecture
* Hands on software development skills with proficiency in using C/C++ and Java
* Leadership skills and ability to mentor junior employees
* Understanding of the telecommunication business environment and experience in strategic technology road map definition
* Familiarity with Cloud services and technologies - IaaS, PaaS, SaaS
* Ability to work in a DevOps environment and experience with SCRUM / Agile and Continuous Integration development processes
* Experience with Linux
* Experience with telecom/networking/satellite/wireless communications
* Networking background and protocol knowledge
* Ability to differentiate, prioritize and multi-task to meet multiple commitments

Education:

* BSEE/BSCS, technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
