Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to lead activities to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. Leads others to evaluate customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces. Leads analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture. Leads analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success. Leads, develops, maintains and identifies improvements the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.
Lead Systems Engineer familiar with all aspects and disciplines within the system engineering process. This includes requirements decomposition, allocation and tracking, risk management, proposal development and subcontract management. The ideal candidate will also have specific and direct experience in the area of Systems Architecture, working with functional block diagrams, ICD's and the DoDAF standard at a system level. Will be responsible for executing the systems architecture development on programs in concert with other subject matter experts and program management. Good interpersonal skills are a must, as well as experience with a variety of systems engineering tools such as DOORS, Rhapsody, Team center, etc.

Typical Education/Experience:
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's 14 or more years' experience, Master's with 12 or more years' experience or PhD with 9 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Basic Qualifications (Required):
* This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
* Must have a Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
* 10+ Experience with Systems Engineering and Integration
* Process management and best practices is required
