Job Title: Advanced Visualization Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Harris Geospatial is seeking software programmers who have experience with remote sensing data sources to support an exciting opportunity to develop an enterprise-based processing, exploitation, and dissemination (PED) workflow for a U.S. government customer. The successful candidate with be self-starter with the ability to collaborate as part of a dedicated team within a dynamic customer environment. This position will be based in the Northern Virginia area.

Essential Functions:

* Perform workflow development and scripting within the customer environment to create new tradecraft that leverages the HGSI Commercial product suite
* Optimize existing ENVI-based desktop tools for migration to a larger enterprise architecture
* Manages project initiatives of substantial importance to the organization with minimal oversight or direction
* Communicates within and outside of the organization to explain and influence changes to practices, processes and approaches
* Makes significant improvements in processes, systems, or products. Provides input into new products/processes and implements operational plans that have measurable impact on business or functional results

Qualifications:

* 9+years with a bachelors degree or equivalent

Preferred Additional Skills:

* Subject matter expert with comprehensive knowledge of job area and experience delivering engineering code into larger software architectures desired
* Experience with Defense and Intelligence community, with a focus on Tradecraft development within a Research and Development (R&D) Environment
* Experience implementing algorithms and remote sensing processing workflows
* Experience with scripting in IDL and Python, as well as interactive data processing using HGSI commercial Products
* Experience creating interactive visualization environments leveraging 3D data sources such as Lidar or Digital Terrain models
* Experience implementing algorithms and remote sensing processing workflows
