Duties: Lead Engineer responsible for building and supporting the Bank's Hyperion Planning and Essbase Platform, liaising closely with Subject Matter Experts including Business Systems Analysts, Solution Architects and Developers. Lead Engineer responsible for leading the Bank's efforts to build and implement the Platform, utilizing the best available software and engineering practices, in consultation with other technology team members. Performing business system analysis in corporate financial planning and analysis including implementing, supporting and enhancing Hyperion Planning & Essbase application architecture. Managing/architecting metadata with DRM (including defining requirements for hierarchies and attributes). Developing Hyperion Web Forms and writing Hyperion Business Rules and Hyperion and Essbase calculation scripts. Facilitating the implementation of best practices that improve system effectiveness and allow future growth. Leading the development team in relation to Hyperion Planning applications, including Plan Types, Web Forms, Task Lists, MaxL Scripts, Calc Scripts, Business Rules, Loading Dimensions and Data and security configurations. Performing system design and analysis, developing complex code and conducting testing to ensure successful delivery of system functionality and application components. Managing technology project delivery and addressing risks and issues through effective contingency plans and proper escalation. Providing technical expertise on overall architecture and strategy in relation to the Hyperion Planning and Essbase environment. Producing technical documentation in accordance with SDLC guidelines. Leading change management activities associated with the automation of finance processes and systems. Partnering with management, project champions, and process owners to align process improvement initiatives with business objectives. Reviewing analysis and design done by systems personnel, providing guidance and solution direction. Interacting with users, Business Systems Analysts and project teams to resolve system issues and maintain a stable production environment. Reviewing, advising and designing standard software and hardware builds, system options, risks, costs versus benefits and impact on the enterprise business process and goals. Developing programming standards and procedures as well as programming architectures for code reuse. Recommending system improvements, new applications and developing plans to improve service. Preparing project schedules and budget estimates.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in in Engineering (Any), MIS, Computer Science, or Software Engineering, or a related field (or foreign equivalent degree).
Experience: 8 years of business system analysis experience in corporate financial planning and analysis including implementing, supporting and enhancing Hyperion Planning & Essbase application architecture; architecting or managing metadata with DRM (including defining requirements for hierarchies and attributes); developing Hyperion Web Forms and writing Hyperion Business Rules and Hyperion or Essbase calculation scripts.
