The Data Strategy and Early Assets Insights lead will be responsible for overall decision making related to the ongoing development, enhancement and execution of a data strategy and acquisition approach to support services of the Commercial Acceleration organization. The role is aligned to the Commercial Acceleration (CA) organization reporting to the Portfolio Innovation & Effectiveness Head under the Head of CA but will work closely with the Data Strategy and Management group in Oncology. In addition to data strategy leadership, function will provide support to early asset evaluation and be an integral part of the cross functional team.

The function will define and execute data strategy that supports all data requirements of the CA organization. This role will be focused on how the data is obtained, what gaps exist that warrant additional acquisitions of data, and how the data is being leveraged as inputs to the analyses and reports created across the org to ultimately provide the needed insights to the franchises. The Data Strategy and Early assets lead will be accountable for the following:

* Developing an overall data strategy and usage/acquisition approach across the organization
* Analyzing gaps and providing solutions for additional data needs to meet requirements of the CA org and franchises
* Overseeing the management and monitoring of data procurement and contracts with external data providers
* Triaging and addressing strategic issues related to data/systems
* Manage the data inventory to make sure it is procured and ingested efficiently, that it meets franchise needs and is accessible to customers
* Drive Insights and Analytics for early assets evaluation and BD&L assessments occasionally

Leadership

Defines a data strategy including data delivery, storage, and integration framework, and supporting data architecture needs

Coordinates with NVS IT on all data strategy and architecture initiatives and guides NVS IT road-map to support US Pharma needs

Brings technical expertise for solutions that support the data needs of the Commercial Acceleration organization

Coordinates and collaborates with Franchise CA heads, CA Data and Platform Leads, and IT as well as the Data Strategy and Management shared service when needed, on the overall technology enablement strategies that align with business priorities

Manages cross functional team expectations on Insights support for early assets and assists in the creation of a vision for Insights and Analytics framework for new product launches

Operational

Defines and continually optimizes the data model to meet CA data needs, including data format, requirements, hierarchy and relationships

Proactively monitors the execution of the data strategy and performance of data-related services; triage's and addresses strategic issues related to data/systems

Establishes best practices and operating models for managing and utilizing data

Identifies and establishes processes for evaluating and optimizing data sources, driving cross-functional and cross-franchise efficiencies to meet CA demand

Manages and enforces contracts with data providers, driving optimization

Supports cross-functional Data and Platforms Org solution delivery projects and collaborates with/ provides input on data impacts to relevant stakeholders
