What You'll Do

The Enterprise Application Middleware (EAM) area is responsible for a wide variety of middleware products, including messaging, transactional and caching tools.

The Lead Infrastructure Services Engineer for the Transactional Technologies team will be responsible for providing expert support of DTCC's transaction and messaging infrastructure on both on mainframe and distributed platforms and also performs a variety of systems programming and administration functions for DTCC's transactional and messaging technologies, as detailed below.

* Software installation, customization and maintenance upgrade of CICS and related vendor products (TMON, Mainview, Intertest, Abend Aid, DadsPlus, CAFC, WTX). Development, maintenance and enhancements to DTCC written software utilities and exits.
* Provide senior level technical support for the CICS team and users. Mentor new team members as they come onboard. Work closely with users to design monitoring solutions, troubleshoot monitoring problems and participate in applications design for efficiency and performance.
* Lifecycle management for the monitoring products that the team supports to ensure that we're current on the latest versions, the latest vulnerability patches are implemented in a timely manner and plan and implement product upgrades as needed with minimal down time.
* Manage the vendor relationships for the products that we utilize. Ensure they understand DTCC's global monitoring requirement SLAs, supply timely updates, enhancements and new releases. Monitor the status of tickets we have open with the vendor and handle escalations as required.
* Responsible for Incident, Problem and Change Management for all CICS and MQ. Ensure incidents and problems are closed according to domain standards, and all change management requirements are strictly followed. Represent the team at the various change management meetings on a regular basis.
* Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately

Specific Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years' related experience

Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent experience

Strong knowledge of CICS, Cicsplex, CICS Transaction Gateway, WTX, Abend Aid, TMON, Intertest, CAFC and DadsPlus

Strong knowledge of the z/OS environment, including USS, TSO, ISPF, SMP/E, RACF and JCL.

Excellent knowledge of industry monitoring and performance tools for CICS; CICS capacity and performance tuning

Web Services

Excellent programming skills in Assembler, Rexx and Cobol

Strong analytical and problem solving skills in resolving complex design and programming issues with CICS applications

Perform application code reviews

Prepare training materials such as technical guides or manuals for end-users or clients

Strong knowledge of Java in CICS

MQ and Cloud (AWS) experience is a big plus.

A thorough understanding of TCP/IP protocols.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

An ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
