About

Job Description

Responsibilities

* Design, install, configure, document and maintain internal network infrastructure.
* Troubleshoot and repair network-related problems collaborating with IT operations team, third parties and key stakeholders.
* Ensure that network links and equipment are properly monitored and that alerts are addressed in a timely manner.
* Collaborate with IT and Information Security to establish, monitor and enforce network access policies.
* Create and satisfy stringent SLAs associated with Internet Connectivity, Wide Area Network, VPN Connectivity, and Wireless Connectivity.
* Set up, configure, and test Cisco Call Manager, Unity, Call Manager Express, Unity Express, Cisco LAN switches (core, distribution and access), Cisco firewalls, routers and voice gateways, etc.
* Perform client consultation: plan, design, implement, and support the voice infrastructure
* Develop and implement the technical architecture and physical design of the network: analyze existing voice and data networks and recommend solutions
* Create, maintain and improve documents supporting IT network processes and procedures.
* Plan, test and respond to Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery events.
* Actively participate in scheduled Off-Hour Operations, Weekend Work and On-Call Rotation Shifts to provide 24 x 7 support.
* Implementation and Troubleshooting of, Multi-layer switches, ISR/ASR routers and wireless networks
* Implementation and Troubleshooting of, WAN Optimizers, Load Balancers, firewalls, DNS/DHCP and VPN Gateways
* Implementation and Troubleshooting of monitoring tools like Solarwinds
* Maintaining Documentation - Creating and maintaining SOPs/CMDBs/KEDBs/Run Books
* IT Service Management - Good understanding of ITIL best practices
* Monitoring Tools - Integration of Network monitoring tools (e.g. Solarwinds ) with ITSM dashboards (preferably ServiceNow)
* IT Service Management - Good understanding of ITIL best practices and SLAs
* Identity and Access Management - Implementation and troubleshooting of Cisco ACS, Cisco ISE, BYoD, Network Admission control

Qualifications

* 8+ years' experience as an IT Network Engineer.
* High level of proficiency in the following routing protocols: RIP, OSPF, EIGRP and BGP.
* Expert level knowledge with Routers, Switches, and Firewalls.
* Expert level understanding of TCP/IP, including; DNS and DHCP.
* Hands-on experience with Cisco network equipment.
* Experience in Cisco PBX and/or Call Center systems engineering experience
* Experience with router configuration, knowledge of voice mail, unified messaging, ACD and IVR systems
* Strong performance tuning (QoS) and capacity planning, traffic analyzation experience.
* Experience with monitoring solutions such as Solarwinds
* Working Knowledge of wireless technology using Ruckus or equivalent service provider
* Proven track record identifying and championing appropriate new technologies; ability to quickly adapt changes
* A self-starter who can prioritize work in a fast-paced and dynamic tech environment.
* A team player who can collaborate across all departments and with all levels.
* Must possess good analytical problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience.

Desired Skills

* Experience at multinational corporation dealing with network service providers
* Professional level Cisco Networks Data/Voice certification (e.g. CCNP, CCNA, CCVP, CCDP or CCIE)
* Ability to design and implement LAN/WAN using MPLS or Metro Ethernet
* Automation and scripting
