Responsibilities

* Learn how our business works at all levels of the organization and customer base (internal, policyholders, agents, etc.)
* Participate in planning the user experience for all aspects of our online presence
* Take a leading role in developing our customer portal and future offerings
* Develop and implement projects (research, sketch, code, test, roll out), involving stakeholders across the organization
* Stay on top of trends and new technology - Identify future tools and strategy, and create the business case for adoption and implementation
* Work closely with the IT and Marketing teams to manage timelines, resources and communication strategy

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience
* 1-3 years of UX Development Experience
* Proficient in HTML5, CSS3 and ES6
* Knowledge and implementation of responsive design
* Ability to translate design artifacts into usable code.
* Firm understanding of browser security and performance
* Solid grasp of CI/CD pipeline and associated tooling
* Must be able to work in a team oriented environment
* Excellent communication skills with strong customer service commitment
* Ability to work independently in an autonomous environment

Preferred

* Experience creating mobile and responsive design (strongly preferred)
* Experience with user research, wireframing and personas
* Active open source contribution
* Experience with NPM and CLI
* Implementation of reusable templates for template-based content
