Junior Data Scientist

Job Description

Victory Renewables, a subsidiary of Conestoga Energy Partners, is seeking a recent or upcoming college graduate to join our trading and logistics team as a Junior Data Scientist in our Southlake office.

This newly created position will assist in the continued growth of the Victory business in the trading and logistics of renewable fuels and carbon offsets.

Duties -

* Quantitative analysis of global renewable fuel, electricity, and carbon emissions markets.
* Forecasting of future growth rates, trends, supply/demand of clean energy.
* Build out and maintain a suite of automated exposure reports for management team.
* Drive efficiencies through automation of logistics and trade processes.
* Capture and become an expert on all data in the renewable fuels and electric vehicle spaces.

Requirements -

* Bachelors in computer science, engineering, math, statistics, economics or related field.
* Strong academic performance and proven track record of success.
* Programming proficiency (scripting languages such as R, Matlab, Python a plus).
* Interest in clean/renewable energy.
* Desire to grow into senior data scientist and become the company expert on all things data.
* Team player, detail oriented, and willingness to operate with transparency and integrity.
* Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
