Position Summary / Responsibilities:

We are seeking motivated, career and customer oriented Junior Cisco IT Specialist, interested in joining our team in Boyce, VA (with occasional visits to Winchester, VA and Washington, DC) and exploring an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.

The ideal candidate has a solid background in fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures related to technical assignments supporting Cisco-based systems. Performs work that requires practical experience and training. You will initially work under supervision of more experienced staff. As your experience and knowledge of the client grows, you will be assigned a broader and more complex range of activities and responsibilities. You will have the ability to grow and apply your technical knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.

Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:

In this role you will support development and maintenance of client and user support systems related to a broad range of business areas. You will support large, medium or small projects, and with experience, will lead small projects autonomously. Applies an enterprise wide set of disciplines and processes for planning, analyzing, designing, constructing, and implementing information engineering for complex systems. Develops analytical and computational techniques and methodologies for problem solutions. Performs process and data modeling in support of the systems planning and analysis efforts, using manual and automated tools. Employs reverse engineering and reengineering disciplines to develop migration strategic and planning documents.

Requirements

Key Qualifications:

* Experience working with Federal government customers in support of delivery of information technology services desirable..
* Two years experience supporting Cisco-based solutions and infrastructure services across complex, multi-location enterprises.
* Experience with Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services, including Hybrid Cloud Architectures desirable.
* ITIL v3 Foundation Certification; ITIL v3 Intermediate Level desirable.
* Project Management Professional or Program Management Professional Certification desirable.
* Cisco Certified Network Associate..
* Strong oral and written communication skills.

Position Requirements:

U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 1 year of experience supporting Cisco-based solutions or Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Systems Management or related field degree or higher and a minimum of 3 years of experience supporting Cisco-based solutions. Applicable advance certifications for the specified areas. Experience can be used in lieu of education requirements.

Local candidates only. Work location: Northern Virginia

Must have passed the equivalent of a High-Level Risk Background Investigation (or higher) prior to commencing work.
