As a Junior Application Engineer, you'll join our IT team where you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining custom web applications such as the License Manager and Localization Platforms in a PHP, SQL and MySQL database environment. Creative and autonomous, you are able to drill down in code, drive change and report on progress regularly as well as collect and address business user requirements.

Responsibilities

* Design, build, and integrate custom applications according to specifications
* Upgrade and maintain internal developments
* Help troubleshoot and work with Operations,R&D and IT engineers to resolve production issues
* Train end users on use of developed solutions
* Build and maintain a knowledge base to support process documentation and user
* Understand implications of work and make recommendations for solutions

Qualifications

* 1-3 years of experience in web and application development (preferred)
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
* 1-3 years of experience with PHP development programming )(preferred)
* Knowledge in JavaScript and SQL a plus
* Experience with web services and/or other application development, a strong plus
* Linux systems basics as well as Python, shell script and git knowledge
* Able to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
* Detail oriented, deadline and results driven
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work with distributed and globally based team members
