Job Description

The Jr. Network Engineer at Englewood Helathwill be a major contributor to the overall integration of all the networking needs of the organization.

Job Summary:

* Initial response and troubleshooting of network NMS alerts.
* Works closely with the Networking Engineer to ensure that all network systems are available and working properly.
* Troubleshoots customer connectivity issues and provide customers technical assistance and guidance.
* Maintain all network closets cabling infrastructure.
* Coordinates and assists with cabling runs and terminations.
* Maintain required spare hardware inventory.
* Apply standardized LAN and WAN device port configuration.
* Maintain an accurate inventory of all networked equipment.
* Assigns and maintains IP inventory database.
* Professionally manage time between daily tasks and projects.
* Work with IT teams to scope projects, provide technical input and follow-up support.
* Attend product and technology training as required.
* Participates in the setting of standards for Windows servers and workstations.
* Submit and represent and review all network Change Management requests.
* Provide monthly Metrics for the network infrastructure.
* Promote network security best practices and transfer technical knowledge to department members.
* Develop and maintain project plans for all projects.
* Participate in on-call rotations including some weekends and holidays.
* Support end users as required.

Job Essentials:

* 3 - 5 years' experience with Cisco networking hardware.
* 3 - 5 years' experience with network cabling infrastructure.
* Experience with advance troubleshooting tools e.g. Wireshark, iperf, etc...
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and effective problem-solving skills required.
* Ability to comprehend, analyze and research problems of a complex nature, make judgment decisions and recommendations as to their solution.

Education Requirements: Bachelor in Computer Science, Engineering or related degree or equivalent experience.
