Job Description

Job Overview: We are looking for a Jr. Data Engineer to support our Sales, Planning, and Analytics team. The Jr. Data Engineer will provide support and enhancements to data scientists and data analysts as well as to our Americas physical sales, global digital sales, channel marketing, and web store departments to improve data integrity and delivery. The right candidate will support our next generation of products and data initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be someone with sound technical background in data storage, processing, and validation. This candidate will also have experience in automating some of these processes. We are looking for an individual who has a high sense of ownership over every deliverable by the team.

Role Responsibilities

* Develop and manage stable, scalable data pipelines that cleanse, structure, and integrate disparate data sets into an accessible format for end user analyses.
* Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automate manual processes, optimize data delivery, re-design infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
* Define and implement data monitoring, validation, and alerting policies.
* Work with stakeholders such as Rockstar Games, 2K Games, and Private Division to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
* Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the video game industry and our role within it.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

* 1+ years of experience managing data processes using AWS technologies including S3 and EC2.
* 2+ years of hands-on experience in using advanced SQL queries (analytical functions), experience in writing and optimizing highly efficient SQL queries.
* 2+ years of experience using Python.
* Experience testing and monitoring data for anomalies and rectifying them.
* Experience presenting technical information and translating it for a non-technical audience.
