The Advanced Technology Collaborative is transforming healthcare by approaching the most difficult problems with research, development, and application of emerging technologies to improve the lives of our consumers. We are looking for a Java Software Engineer with an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for innovation.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Perform all phases of software engineering (requirements, analysis, design, code development and testing)
* Drive solutions and design reusable components, frameworks and libraries
* Contribute to the design of secure, scalable, and maintainable software
* Clearly articulate the implications of design / architectural decisions to technology leadership
* Collaborate with team members, product owners, and architecture leads
* Conduct design and code reviews to ensure code meets business needs and guidelines for best practices, unit testing, security, scalability and maintain ability
* Work with a team following an Agile / Scrum methodology to deliver high-quality software releases

Required Qualifications:

* 3 years of experience with Java or Javascript
* 2 years of experience developing APIs / microservices
* Experience with noSQL databases
* Knowledge of data streaming tools
* Knowledge of ReactJS or similar Javascript clientside frameworks (e.g. Angular, Ember, Meteor, VueJS)
* Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git)
* Knowledge of ATDD and CI / CD

Preferred Qualifications:

* Additional language: Scala
* Experience with Jenkins, OpenShift, AWS, Docker, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and Azure, NodeJS
* Knowledge of data streaming and blockchain technologies
* Knowledge and interest in any of the emerging technology domains: AI, IoT, Ambient Computing, Genomics, Voice, and Blockchain
