The qualified applicant will become part of the EdAssist technology development team supporting our tuition assistance products. The successful Java Developer II will quickly adapt to new situations, have a strong commitment to a team environment, a willingness to learn new technologies, and the ability to develop software to support tuition assistance programs at Fortune 500 companies.

What you will be doing:

* Be part of a fast-paced, highly technical development team responsible for developing and delivering SaaS solutions to HR organizations.
* Participate in all phases of SDLC: from system analysis to technical design and development and test to deployment and support.
* Design and develop software systems and subsystems.
* Troubleshoot complex issues during the project and provide solutions to solve them.
* Work closely with business stakeholders to help define and execute requirements.
* Provide support to production; diagnose and quickly resolve production issues.
* Conduct design and code reviews and provide feedback on engineering best practices.
* Mentor more junior members on the team.

Job Requirements

What we hope you will bring to the role:

* Bachelor or MS degrees in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
* Minimum 3+ years of programming experience.
* Java/J2EE/JEE technologies.
* MVC frameworks (Spring a strong plus).
* Database Development (MS SQL Server a strong plus).
* Web Development (HTML5, CSS3, jQuery a strong plus).
* Web Services.
* Experience working with diverse teams.
