Job Description

TASC, an Engility Company, is seeking an experienced, creative, and determined software engineer to join a five person software engineering team in direct support of a rewarding and dynamic mission. The candidate will develop, coordinate, and integrate software solutions that directly affect the performance of the program's 24x7 mission operations center. These solutions include supporting a Highly Visible and mission critical enterprise level application, to include third party tool integration with monitoring and document management. Candidates will also learn and work with a diverse set of technologies and languages, as well as be able to take advantage of the rare opportunity to directly shape the technological requirements of their customer.

Candidates must be detail-oriented, customer focused, and able to work in a fast-paced organization while prioritizing a heavy workload. The candidate must remain flexible with duties may span several areas from software development, configuration management, quality assurance, requirement analysis, and user interfaces. As always, candidates must possess a professional demeanor, be organized/detail oriented, demonstrate a high level of initiative, be able to follow through on tasks to completion, and engage as a team player.

Typical responsibilities include:

* Implementing customer requirements utilizing Java technologies and client-side tagging and scripting languages
* Working software projects throughout lifecycle from requirements analysis and design to maintenance following delivery
* Developing and implementing systems using the Model/View/Controller paradigm that process a large amount of data both structured and unstructured
* Thinking "outside the box" - participating in helping the team research and present new innovative ideas that are on the leading edge of information technology to help solve some of the unique issues surrounding the project
* Creating various levels of documentation (Design, Users Manuals) and presenting briefings to the customer
