Overview

IT Technician This person provides assistance to Company personnel by answering questions, resolving technical problems and maintaining the Company's network, software and computer equipment. The IT Technician is responsible for providing initial direct or remote resolution of end user issues and coordinates resolution of issues beyond this scope. The IT Technician will provide site support and assist with lifecycle management of computers, imaging peripherals and mobile devices. The IT Technician will maintain situational awareness to identify and report issues that are not in compliance with established policy or that pose a threat to the effectiveness or integrity of the IT environment. Work Experience - Three or more years of IT work experience. - Solid and seamless work history with longevity of employment history with no gaps of unemployment longer than 3 months than cannot be reasonably explained. - Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems (Windows and Mac) and across a range of software applications and databases. - Install and configure new IT equipment including but not limited to servers, desktops, printers, access control, digital displays, audio systems, DVR and NVR Security systems. - Assist all users with any logged IT related incident when called upon through the help desk. - Install and terminate a variety of cabling including Cat5e, Cat6, RG-59, 18/4, 16/2. - Experience Networking skills required including LAN, WAN, VLAN, VPNs. - Basic knowledge of electrical circuits & diagrams. - Knowledge of Google systems. - Strong work ethic with team player mentality and positive can-do attitude. Working Requirements - Regular and on-time attendance. - Demonstrates initiative and ability to manage work priorities and tasks. - Demonstrates a high level of organization and detail orientation. - Must have and maintain a Colorado state Driver's License. - Hours regularly exceed 40 hours per week. - Reliable transportation. Education - High School Diploma or equivalent required. - College degree in Computer Information Systems or related field preferred. Purpose

The IT Technician will maintain situational awareness to identify and report issues that are not in compliance with established policy or that pose a threat to the effectiveness or integrity of the IT environment.

Essential Duties

Technical Support

* Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems (Windows and Mac) and across a range of software applications and databases.
* Install and configure new IT equipment including but not limited to servers, desktops, printers, access control, digital displays, audio systems, DVR and NVR Security systems.
* Assist all users with any logged IT related incident when called upon through the help desk.
* Install and terminate a variety of cabling including Cat5e, Cat6, RG-59, 18/4, 16/2.

IT Equipment Inventory Support

* Maintain IT equipment storage areas in a neat and orderly fashion.
* Assist with lifecycle management of deployed computers and peripherals including: asset assignment, repair and recovery, system imaging and updates, application deployment and updates and rebuilds.
* Provide technical support for imaging devices, such as printers, scanners, fax machines, etc. or coordinate third party support as needed.

Site Support

* Receive site IT resource requests from Director and ensure service is properly performed by requested due date.
* Visit sites as needed to resolve issues that cannot be resolved remotely.
* Maintain a first-class level of service ensuring that all customers/employees are treated efficiently and in an appropriate manner.

Systems

* Provide leadership and direction to employees to ensure the effective use and management of IT systems. Think in terms of operational effectiveness, accessibility, security, and scalability.

Compliance and Reporting

* Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations.
* Ensure that workflow and work procedures are documented and that appropriate controls and audit are in place to ensure data and processing integrity.

Leadership and Supervision

* Establish initial and ongoing training for employees to ensure an adequate level of understanding regarding guidelines, policies, procedures, and all technology equipment and related systems.
* Ensure that individual and team performance meets the Company's standards of service and quality.
* Work collaboratively with all the Company's employees and business partners.

Other Duties

* Other duties as assigned.

Supervision

* Works under the Director of Information Technology.
* This person does not supervise others.

Job Qualifications

Work Experience

* A minimum of 3 years of experience working in IT.
* Basic Networking skills required including LAN, WAN, VLAN, VPNs.
* Basic knowledge of electrical circuits & diagrams.
* Knowledge of Google systems.
* Knowledge of state and federal employment laws relating to key areas of responsibility.
* Must have and maintain a valid Colorado state Driver's License.
* Must be able to secure appropriate work credentials from the Colorado Department of Revenue, MED.

Education

* High School Diploma or GED required.
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or similar field is preferred.

* Regular and on-time attendance.
* Hours regularly exceed 40 hours per week.
* Frequent travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like within the region and to other locations as required.
