IT Technical Support/Functional Analyst

Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced IT Technical Support/Functional Analyst to join our team.

Key Tasks:

* As a member of the Operations team, provide daily support and execute independent and team tasks as assigned, assist end users, technical staff
* Interact with others at all levels with the client
* Work with end users via phone or email, to provide them with information and support various applications
* Troubleshoot problems or provide guidance about the software
* Create reports and spreadsheets, participate in working groups tasked with solving a particular problem or addressing a specific challenges, analyze tickets to determine trends, ticket similarities, and redundant issue reporting, and other duties as assigned
* Review release packages prior to sending to technical staff to ensure the package contains the complete information
* Schedule release and maintenance deployments for Stage and Production environments
* Submit scheduled downtime notices and reports for each maintenance activity
* Coordinate Disaster Recovery (DR) tests and ensure test are completed by the required due date
* Coordinate quarterly patching and Audit support requests

Required Skills:

* Effective communication skills (oral and written)
* Thorough knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of Tools (Outlook, Word, Excel)
* Data Analysis and report creation skills
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and in a team environment
* Technical Support for the system hardware and operating systems.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent customer service skills
* Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter, take on tasks without being assigned
* Technical documentation skills

Desired Skills:

* Experience with Remedy and Microsoft TFS tools is a plus
* Experience with application troubleshooting is a plus
* Experience with DDL and DML is a plus
* Microsoft SharePoint experience a plus
* Previous documentation experience

Minimum Education: Bachelors Degree

Minimum Experience: 6 years Certification Requirement: Security + certification or higher DoD 8570 Information Assurance technical (IAT) Level II compliant

This position may require that a candidate have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
