Job Description Summary:

Individual will participate in the development, maintenance, support and enhancement of Real Time IT systems applications in support of Transmission and/or Distribution Operations at Eversource. Possible assignments include some or all of the following: planning, coordination, programming and implementation of releases/product patches, upgrades or changes to Real Time Systems application software. The individual will work closely with operations to analyze business/technical needs and related issues to formulate and develop or purchase new and/or modified computer programs/systems; create revision to existing programs, systems and procedures and use appropriate tools to troubleshoot and correct deficiencies; and/or, reconcile user requirements with existing and/or projected computer capacity, capabilities and performance.

Experiences in real-time operations support involving applications such as Energy Management Systems (EMS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Power system database/modeling and RTU protocols required. Experience with distributed technologies, relational databases and knowledge of infrastructure technology (Windows server 2012, Windows XP/7, Active Directory, IT Network/Security, etc.), as relates to Real Time System Infrastructure is a plus. Qualified candidate with experience in EMS/DMS product suite from GE Grid Solution (formerly Alstom Grid) will be given preference.

In addition to exceptional analytical skills, the successful candidate must demonstrate strong customer focus, team membership skills and oral/written communications skills. A proven track record of producing quality products to predetermined standards and specifications plus a desire to learn and apply new skills are required.
