Overview

Methode Electronics Inc. is seeking an IT Systems Engineer to own the administration of our Corporate Windows infrastructure services (IT process automation, servers, storage, Office 365, software licenses, networking and business continuity plan) supported by Methode's technology team. In this role, you will have responsibility for project and support services, remote work and onsite support. Additionally, you will provide consultation and training services to Methode divisions.

Responsibilities

* Act as the systems engineer for Methode's Global Windows environment systems
* Complete all design and solutions review for Windows based infrastructure projects and sign-off on solutions based on best practices, scalability and client expectations
* Perform implementations, integrations, and migrations
* Deploy and maintain Microsoft Office 365 environment including Desktop Applications, Teams (Skype), Exchange online / on-premise across multiple forests
* Maintain multiple hypervisor environments
* Manage and maintain Storage and Backup solutions
* Responsible for the successful delivery of all infrastructure projects within budget
* Mentor and provide guidance to the team including internal/external training and knowledge transfer
* Act as escalation contact addressing 3rd level support issues as member of Methode's 24-7 Response Team
* Manage current hardware equipment and software renewal contracts and supervise contract-based installations; where necessary, liaise with third-party support and carrier/vendors
* Aid in the development and maintenance of business continuity and disaster recovery plans and respond to crises accordingly
* Partner with IT counterparts across divisions in providing support, planning, exchange of ideas and improvements
* Widows development experience a plus (.NET, Sharepoint)
* Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

* Bachelor degree in Computer Science OR equivalent work experience
* Minimum 5 years' experience with maintaining, troubleshooting and supporting relevant technology environments
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 including prior deployment experience
* AZURE AD knowledge including federation across multiple tenants
* Knowledge of MS Teams (Skype for Business) with telephony preferred
* Strong PowerShell scripting language knowledge
* Working knowledge of MS SQL with open source SQL preferred
* Clustering knowledge (storage and application)
* Experience with various SAN/HCI environments (NETAPP, Dell VRTX, Nutanix, etc.)
* Advanced technical knowledge of current network protocols, operating systems, and standards, including TCP/IP and Windows
* Experience with enterprise solution deployment, post implementation support and system integration
* Keen attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
* Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to present technical ideas in user-friendly language to all levels of organization
* Self-motivated with ability to quickly learn new products
* Project management experience in team-oriented/collaborative environment
* Microsoft MCSE or MCSA certification preferred
* SharePoint knowledge a plus
* On-call availability must
* 10% travel both domestic and international
