Overview

We are excited to share we are looking for an experienced full-time IT Systems Administrator to join our growing team!

At Transforming Age, our Systems Administrator provides a high level of user support and customer service on Transforming Age computer applications. Additionally, our Systems Administrator tackles troubleshooting of various platform problems and advises and/or takes appropriate action to resolve them. This new addition to our team will take on a vitally important role in being responsible for the administration and support of Transforming Age's technology-based systems.

With over $150 million in revenue, Transforming Age is rapidly expanding nationally. Within the last four years we have grown from serving just 600 seniors across three communities in Seattle to over 7,500 people amid 28 communities and affordable housing units in Washington, Minnesota and Nebraska, and through our not-for-profit home and community based services organization, Full Life Care.

Positions Details

* Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone and electronically
* Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues, such as network and server access problems, network cabling, WAN, VLAN, firewall, VPN, voice communications (i.e., PBX telephone) and voice mail systems
* Research questions using available resources & redirect problems to appropriate resource
* Maintain a detailed log of all helpdesk interactions
* Prepare activity reports, document internal procedures, file and provide general assistance to IT team members as requested
* Provide exceptional, responsive customer service while onboarding new users and navigating current users through technical difficulties
* Provide on-call and after hours technical coverage
* Modify configurations, utilities, software default settings, etc. for the local workstation
* Install, configure and test new workstations, peripheral equipment and software
* Maintain inventory of all equipment, software and licenses
* Travel to our out-of-state communities on occasion and as needed
* Promote the Mission, Vision and Values of Transforming Age in all areas of responsibility

* Is willing to do local travel between Transforming Age Communities
* Possesses and maintains a valid Washington State driver's license and reliable transportation

Previous Experience Must Include:

* Extensive familiarity with multiple operating environments (including: Windows, Mac OS)
* Background in Active Directory, Group Policy and client management tools
* Extensive knowledge in MS Office 2010 and above, Windows 7 and above, Server 2012 and above
* Extensive proficiency in antivirus enterprise management, client security management, and all aspects of software installation and package creation
* Aptitude with computer networking (Ethernet, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) in a multi-vendor environment
* Knowledgeable about Palo Alto Firewalls and Juniper Switches
* Expertise with client data and error recovery methods

Education/Equivalent Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, Associates degree + relevant experience, or equivalent professional experience
* Minimum 5 years of IT experience with at least 3 of those years in a network administration and/or computer systems support role
* Comptia A+, Security +, and Network + certifications are preferred
* Microsoft or other certifications are preferred
* MCSE, MCSA, MCITP, MCTS, and MCDST certifications are desirable
