Job Description

Information Technology System Administrator performs technical and skilled duties in the operation of enterprise, client/server and desktop computer systems and networks. Included are multiple Cloud, WAN & LAN network systems, mobile and peripheral device, and electronic computer systems. Implements infrastructure standard practices and procedures. Follows current standards, practices, and technologies. Analyze gaps between the strategy plan and current technical standards. Implements and documents new technical standards. Participates in the evaluation of new technologies & architectures, hardware and software platforms. Supports the implementation of these platforms.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:

The IT Systems Administrator is a mid-level IT infrastructure expert. This role is responsible for the system administration of MG's Network Active Directory "AD" environment, Barracuda environment, Email & Exchange environment, Anti-Virus environment, Server & Database Security environment, Application systems environment and Mobile Device Management "MDM" cell phone environment.

PURPOSE / SUMMARY

Assure smooth and efficient operation of application systems and core infrastructure. Serves as a resource in supporting information technology platforms across several companies and is required to interact with personnel at all levels in a team environment. This role is responsible for the provision of professional system administration services, including efficient use of software/hardware and troubleshooting operating system/ storage / network problems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES (other duties may be assigned as required):

* Responsible for performing administration, activation and deactivation and verifying ongoing account management of servers, security, desktops, laptops and mobile devices.
* Primary resource for the technical systems administration support for all MG sites.
* Strong understanding security related tools to monitor network and computer threat
* Responsible for Network device administration and maintenance (router, switches, firewalls, servers)
* Daily monitoring of Network Traffic, Server Performance, Backups, & Web security
* Monitor and administration of Microsoft Windows Hypervisor System Center, VMware vSphere and Oracle Virtual Box
* Set up of Helpdesk and Inventory Software (Solar winds web helpdesk, Manage Engine Service Desk, Open Audit)
* Monitor and restore from Backup system (Windows backup, Barracuda backup, SQL, Mysql, Symantec Backup, HP D2D backup and replication and Acronis snap deploy)
* Maintain and configure GPO policy management for deploy software, drive mapping and printer driver
* Maintain and configure DHCP, DNS and Ftp server configuration on Windows and Linux
* Administration of Antivirus software (Symantec Endpoint server deployment, Symantec Cloud and MacAfee virus scan enterprise server deployment)

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are the representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

* Bachelor degree or equivalent working experience
* 4 + years of Enterprise System Administration support experience
* MS Certifications in at least 2 key domains: Microsoft OS, AD, Exchange, VMWare, WAN/LAN,Cisco HW/SW, A+, Network+, MCP
* Solid experience in operations and application administration

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

* Works in various environments: (Office Buildings, Construction Sites, Restaurant Ops, & Data Centers).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

* Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. In addition, stand or walk continuously for 2 hours or more.
