IT System Administrator is responsible for ensuring the effective operation of systems that comprise the IT infrastructure in the Enterprise Service Center (ESC). This is accomplished by having hands-on knowledge of provisioning of Linux/Unix systems, services, tuning, upgrading hardware and software. This role is responsible for configuration management, understanding and maintaining peripheral services and software on Linux Suse, RedHat and AIX Unix operating systems. A successful candidate must have good communication skills and must be able to work in a team environment. They must also be able to work a flexible work schedule, supporting Corporate Production infrastructure, including nights and weekends when needed.

Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

* Use Linux/AIX Unix Systems Administration and share Linux administration and share best practices.
* Install, configure and maintain Linux and AIX Unix Systems on IBM Power & Intel processor based systems
* Use Power and Intel Platform virtualization - VMWare VCenter, IBM Power Frame virtualization technology VIO, HMC management
* Perform standard administration tasks (OS installs, patch management)
* Work with ESC Production Control and technical staff as needed to develop solutions and resolve system issues
* Utilize User Account Access Management Tools and LDAP platforms, familiar with RBAC standards.
* Working knowledge of DevOPS environment, hands on experience working preferably with tools as Ansible and IBM BigFix
* Perform system/database backups and restores
* Manager vendor tickets to open & manage,
* Engage in standby/on-call activities as per pre-defined schedule
* Interact with various ESC teams to ensure grid projects are delivered timely and accurately.

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelors Degree required, Degree concentration in Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering preferred
* Minimum of 5 Years experience in the field of System Administration
* Intermediate shell scripting skills
* Project Management skills/ certification.
* Working knowledge of IBM's San Volume Controller (SVC) and FC SAN, Netapp NAS storage.
* Availability to work in SysAdmin team On-Call Support rotation schedule.
* Perform physical cable runs and hardware installations.
* Use programming/scripting skills for automation in at least two of Bash, Ruby, Python, and Perl.
* Experience working with Enterprise System backup and recovery products - TSM, CommVault, etc.
* Experience working with IT Management and Analytics Platforms such Splunk, etc
* Experience working with Public/Hybrid Infrastructure Cloud is a plus.
* Knowledge of Centrify Enterprise Access Manager platform is a plus
