General Description/What You'll Do

IT Support Technician Intern provides basic end-user support and workstation setup and to 250+ users within a digital marketing/advertising creative agency environment. Job includes ensuring that all office IT equipment and services are in working order, including desktops and laptops, iOS devices, printers, creative workstations and audio visual systems.

This role will also act as a primary on-site point of contact for IT needs. This will include creating and managing trouble tickets and taking ownership of user problems and their resolutions.

Candidate will have proven ability to operate in fast paced environments, be able to multitask and prioritize tasks, and possess proven communication skills.

Candidate will be working directly with all levels of office employees including explanation of technical solutions to upper management (Including C-Level).

Role & Responsibilities

* Provide tier-1 technical support to a primarily MacOS user environment (90% MacOS/10%WinOS).
* Perform basic end-to-end user support utilizing industry best practices.
* Setup all new user workstations / Collect equipment from outgoing users. Asset management / inventory management tracking.
* Perform hardware, software, and application support and create trouble tickets when necessary.
* Perform routine maintenance and upkeep on all office IT infrastructure and operations technology systems.
* Ensure Patch Management / Security Management compliancy for all workstations.
* Provide / Maintain user training documentation to achieve optimal user proficiency, productivity and performance.

Skills

* Experience working in an IT service desk support operation environment (working directly with customers a plus).
* Experience with basic Mac OS setup, administration and troubleshooting.
* Experience in basic networking configuration and troubleshooting.
* Familiar with Active Directory user management practices.
* Some knowledge of internet/network security and data privacy principles and standard practices.
* Experience in creative environments a plus.

Qualifications

* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and ability to communicate technical aspects of IT for understanding by non-technical professionals.
* Basic awareness of the following tools: LAN / WAN / VLAN, standard security and communications practices, basic network switch management, basic wireless router management, Mac OS X Server/Imaging, Windows Server 2008+, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VMWare ESX, basic RAID server applications and functionality.
* Must be team oriented.
* Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
* Basic IT certifications (A+, Network+ etc) preferred.
* Professional financial experience a plus.
