We are looking for a Software Engineer to develop and support software solutions for Micron's Automated Material Handling System (AMHS). You will actively partner in a dynamic team environment both locally as well as globally in all aspects of the SDLC.

In this role, you should have excellent technical and problem-solving skills. If you also have hands-on experience in software development and agile methodologies, we'd like to meet you. Your goal will be to develop reliable, high-quality software that is aligned with business goals.

Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to the following:

* Design, develop, test, and release software related to the AMHS software architecture
* Participate in daily Scrum meetings to provide accurate status on ongoing activities
* Monitor and react to line & IT system performance metrics/indicators
* Involved in and participate in daily IT incident management process and operational review
* Communicate timely status to the customer and lead.
* Design and build various support, maintenance, and metrics gathering utilities.
* Collecting and analyzing data to support automation and customer teams
* Turn data into action by presenting data to various groups and levels of management
* Define and make suggestions that improve performance and process issues
* Participate in meetings, management reviews, and IT group coordination where applicable/necessary
* Craft, maintain, and manage training and support knowledge material
* Provide coordination and action with Major Incident events affecting operations including management of any required post mortems and associated communication
* Participate with Micron Worldwide Problem Management (local and/or global)
* Solve software defects using analytical skills
* Participate in a 24x7 support on-call rotation

For this position you will have many of the following:

* The ability to interpret and integrate multiple technologies into solid solutions
* OO programming experience
* Experience in one or more of the following programming languages: C++, C#, Java, and/or Perl (SQL experience is a plus)
* Previous exposure to manufacturing systems and processes (Preferred)
* ITIL practical experience in Incident, Release, Change, and Problem Management (Preferred)
* Have experience in Scrum development process. (Preferred)
* Demonstrated capabilities in root cause analysis
* Software testing experience
* The ability to work and thrive in a team environment
* Strong interpersonal and project management skills, technical direction, and vision
* A drive to continuously learn and improve
* The ability to enjoy working with both customers and peers in a positive professional manner
* The ability to work on several critical tasks at once as well as work with minimal supervision
* The ability to solve problems across group boundaries
* Intrinsic motivation to strive for results, eliminate distractions and place the proper focus on the tasks necessary for success.
* Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins
* Experience with continuous monitoring tools like Splunk

Education:

* B.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent education and\or software experience and 1+ years' experience.
