We are currently seeking highly qualified candidates for a IT Security Engineer to join our team in Woodinville, Washington.

The position is responsible for improving the overall IT security environment at Ste. Michelle Wine Estates

The Information Security Engineer will have a passion for managing and implementing information security systems, tools, processes and standards along with a desire to champion best practices. This role is responsible for performing all functions required to support day-to-day security operations, supporting and maintaining a broad suite of information security infrastructure, accountable for security and networking infrastructure components, monitoring compliance with IT security policies and standards, and coordinating investigation and reporting of security incidents.

Your key responsibilities will include:

* Participate in the planning, design, installation, and maintenance of security systems in support of security policies. Work with Information Technology staff and business units to assess risk and address security issues.
* Identify, evaluate and implement technical security controls to continuously improve the organization's security posture.
* Ensure the proper installation, configuration and monitoring of solutions that support information security including virus detection, malware detection, intrusion detection and prevention systems, firewalls, and other security solutions.
* Work closely with leaders throughout the business to ensure acquired or developed systems and architectures are consistent with the organization's security architecture guidelines.
* Act as a technical leader in periodic risk assessments including those associated with new or significantly enhanced business applications.
* Lead efforts to prioritize and address vulnerabilities discovered via scanning tools.
* Help define and document security processes and standards in accordance with internal information security policy.
* Investigate security incidents and exceptions.
* Apply knowledge of latest cyber security industry trends, technology tools and practices.

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information systems, Engineering or related discipline required.
* 8 years IT experience with 2-4 years in an Information Security role.
* Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) certification preferred.
* Experience creating security policy and process documentation.
* Hands on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, scanning tools, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, vulnerability management, etc.
* Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
* Strong oral and written communications skills.
* Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
* Knowledge of mobile computing, virtualization and cloud security with associated mitigation tools and strategies.
* Working knowledge of TCP/IP or OSI network protocol stack.
* Understanding of common protocols and related security, HTTP/S, TLS, FTP/S, SFTP, SCP, DNS, Kerberos.
* Working knowledge of popular cryptography algorithms and protocols
* Experience with scripting languages and automation tools strongly preferred (e.g. Python, PowerShell, Ansible).
* History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.
