Job Summary:

The IT security analyst plays a vital role in keeping Milhouses proprietary and sensitive information secure. This individual works with the IT team, and inter-departmentally to identify and correct flaws in Milhouses security systems, solutions, and programs while recommending specific measures that can improve Milhouses overall security posture. The security analysts is ultimately responsible for ensuring that the company's digital assets are protected from unauthorized access. This individual must be able to research new security tools and applications and assess their applicability to the teams operational capability.

Additionally, the IT security analyst is a dual role responsible for monitoring and responding to alerts within the information technology infrastructure including support tickets. This individual must politely ensure end-users adhere to Information Technology policies, standards, and best practices. Must interact with technical and business management, and all team members to meet business requirements in a secure, positive manner. This position requires that the new hire must be able to build and maintain a positive proactive relationship with team members to ensure all employees are provided with training on security matters. This person must be logical and methodical in a fast, ever changing work environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

* Encourage and build positive relationships by proactively communicating and coordinating with all co-workers, outside customers, and vendors;
* Actively participate in the daily coordination and remediation of all security incidents in the organization;
* Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve simple and complex issues efficiently and effectively;
* Understand Milhouse policies, procedures, structure, and culture so that you take proper measures to mitigate business risk;
* Ensure that Milhouse meets all security standards for internal or external audits
* Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention to the appropriate IT team member;
* Planning, maintenance, and administration of global phishing campaigns;
* Conduct assessment on the security of new applications and programs prior to installation or upgrades;
* Carry out investigations on incidences as well as document findings; while defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions;
* Perform daily audits of firewall(s), log management, intrusion detection systems, and content filtering controls;
* Maintain and update current IT teams knowledge of industry best practices for strategy, and operational support in regards to IT security
* Support and supplement IT helpdesk team member(s) 40% weekly;
* Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Skillset Requirements:

* A Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Information Science, Computer Science, or in a similar field from a four- year college or university;
* Knowledge of engineering/construction industry is a plus;
* 1 year of experience in related field;
* Excellent oral and written communication skills a must;
* Must possess superior computer skills, and be proficient in Windows operating system;
* Must possess the ability to clearly and effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations;
* Ability to multi task while displaying a strong attention to detail;
* Able to work with or without direct supervision;
* Experience working in customer facing role;
* Must possess the ability to react to high pressure dynamic changing environments in a coordinated, positive, and rational manner;
* Must possess solid analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
