Executes security controls to prevent hackers from infiltrating company information or jeopardizing e-commerce programs.

Researches attempted efforts to compromise security protocols. Maintains security systems for routers and switches. Administers security policies to control access to systems. Maintains the company's firewall. Uses applicable encryption methods. Provides information to management regarding the negative impact on the business caused by theft, destruction, alteration or denial of access to information.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Prefer 8 years relevant experience and BA/BS degree.

ORACLE'S GLOBAL IT TEAM - Security Analyst / Development / Automation

The IT Security Automation Engineer is a member of the Global IT Technical Security Services team that is responsible for security architecture, engineering, and automation for the services provided by Global Information Technology (GIT), as well as the broader Customer Services organization.

This position will be a contributor in developing security automation techniques, processes, and programs used by GIT Risk Management for meeting its charter and objectives, as well as effectively managing security risks in the solutions and services provided by GIT overall.

Within the Global IT Technical Security Services team, you will join a fast-paced organization responsible for keeping Oracle's employees, data, and assets safe. As a member of this high performing team, you will design and implement security automation to improve efficiency, performance, reliability, and to enhance team productivity by automating routine tasks and orchestrating complex security processes in support of Global IT's digital transformation.

The IT Security Automation Engineer supports cross department collaborative efforts with various GIT teams to drive automation throughout GIT's cloud and on premise environments, including Linux and Windows servers, networking devices, security appliances, applications, and databases.

Additionally, you will drive improvements in configuration management, provisioning, software deployment, vulnerability identification, and security compliance. This role requires the business skills necessary to appreciate the big picture challenges, and involves discussing prudent risk management with Oracle's senior executives to effectively ensure risks are actively mitigated to an acceptable level.

This position will help influence risk for not only internal IT projects, but for projects driven by our internal lines of business, including those directly affecting Oracle's customers.

Preferred Skills

* Strong understanding of information security risk management concepts, frameworks, and industry standards.
* Demonstrated expertise of cloud security and security automation techniques is a must.
* Expertise building automated frameworks and technical security solutions using languages such as Python, Go, or other programming and scripting tools.
* Experience using configuration tools (such as Puppet, Chef, etc.) to automate systems deployment and management.
* Experience in container technologies and working with software deployments in Docker / Containerized environments.
* Experience in large organizations interfacing with various governance and customer organizations is a must.
* Candidate should be very comfortable developing technical strategies to address the needs of very diverse set of internal and external set of customers.
* Broad technical background in infrastructure and applications - especially Oracle components - with the acumen and ability to interpret technical specs and architect solutions.
* Business savvy including the ability to see the big picture and the ability to effectively influence others.
* Excellent communication skills, analytical capability, judgment, self-driven, multi-tasking, proactivity, and willingness to adapt to change in dynamic, global environment are critical.

* 5 years IT experience which includes server computing, information security, and other infrastructure IT areas
* 2 years of IT Security experience across multiple hardware platforms, technologies, OS's, software, and applications
* Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certifications are a plus
* Candidate must reside in United States
