Overview

Panalpina is currently facilitating the move of a large fashion client's existing distribution center to a new location in Northern New Jersey. In order to support that effort, Panalpina is in search of a seasoned IT project manager to manage the design, development and deployment of the JDA Warehouse Management System (WMS). This position is a full time W-2 employee opportunity with a two year contract duration and requires significant on-site presence.

Key Responsibilities

* Leads the IT team in the design, development and implementation of the IT components of the Client Warehouse Move project
* Leads the IT work streams on any sub projects if/when required
* Organizes cross-functionally with the overall Project Manager the activities of project team members to ensure completion of the project on schedule and on budget.
* Ensures the development of risks & contingency plans. Implements contingency plans as required.
* Provide updates to the team; routinely updates stakeholders with an accurate and valid status of the project, issues and action items
* Present IT related status at project meetings with both internal and external customers as defined and required by the overall PM

Minimum

Qualifications:

* BS or BA degree
* 3 years of experience in one or more key disciplines (IT Logistics, Warehousing, DC Operations or similar)
* 5 or more years experience with JDA/RedPrairie Warehouse Management System
* 5+ years of relevant IT Project Management experience; PMP or other Project Certification a plus
* 5+ years experience in managing client facing IT projects and product roll-out, preferably in a Distribution Center environment
