Purpose and Scope:

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, managing and controlling all Information Services projects whether technical or application in nature. The Project Manager will manage large, complex projects involving sub-project managers and multiple project plans. The Project Manager will demonstrate a mastery of project management methods, practices, tools, and techniques and utilize this skill set to establish the Project Management Office. The Project Manager will successfully establish the function within the IS Organization including training and on-going training of IS and user personnel to act as project managers for individual projects and/or to properly assume user implementation roles. In conjunction with the VP & CIO, this individual will also be responsible for ensuring that IS's role as Change Agent on all projects is met. Position requires in-depth knowledge of project management, business process reengineering, and group facilitation. Position includes no supervisory or on-call responsibilities.

I. Position Requirements:

A. Education: Bachelor's Degree or Participation in a Project Management Certification program to be obtained within 12 months of employment

B. Experience: At least five (5) years total work experience with some experience managing customer and/or technology-related projects as well as demonstrated skills with the latest project management tools and techniques. Actively pursing or achievement of Project Management Professional certification or significant levels of project management experience beyond the base requirements. Excellent communications and facilitation skills (interpersonal, written and verbal). Experience with development and reporting of all aspects of projects (e.g., status, costs, financial analysis, benefits identification, analysis, measurement, and reporting). Experience with project management tools, methodologies, and software (e.g. MS Project). Working knowledge of information technology disciplines such as networking, wide and local area networks, infrastructure deployment, application deployments, desktop technologies, wireless technologies, etc.
