FreeWheel is hiring an IT Project Manager based in our New York office who will report to the Director of IT Compliance within the Global Operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading, planning and managing multiple projects across one or more vertical teams. He/She will also promote project management best practices while supporting the organization's compliance requirements.
The IT Project Manager is deeply familiar with full cycle project management duties. He/She will partner with vertical leads in the operations team and with engineering leads to manage concurrent projects of varying complexity. He/She will be an effective communicator constantly collaborating with teams to steer projects from start to finish. He/She will consistently practice risk management and manage mitigation plans. When required, he/she will follow appropriate escalation processes to ensure issues are minimum to none. He/She will not only have the relevant project management knowledge and experience, but also the positive attitude and interpersonal skills needed to interact with our teams.
Conceptualize, plan, and drive complex IT projects to successful completion
Drive compliance (GDPR, CCPA, SOC, MRC) and operations changes throughout the business
Maintain project documentation and track project progress
Coordinate with senior managers within Operations and other departments to ensure proper communication
Develop thorough understanding of GDPR and California CPA legislation and its implications on the business
Work with the Director of IT Compliance and senior IT project managers to assist in resource allocation and prioritization
Develop strong working relationships with vertical team leads to achieve the objectives on concurrent projects
Manage changes to project scope, schedule and costs with proven techniques.
Escalate risks and issues appropriately.
ABOUT YOU / QUALIFICATIONS:
4+ years of experience in the information technology sector
4+ years of proven working experience in full cycle project management
Effective listener with the ability to bridge business requirements with technology solutions
Experience working with offshore and remote technology teams.
Experience with current technologies and products used in the industry such as JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheets, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel.
Strategic, but also pragmatic, detail-oriented and willing to be hands-on.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in the media technology space a plus.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
