IT Ops Training Coordinator (Contract) Pinterest

Job Description

Pinterest is seeking an organized and technically skilled candidate to join the skilled IT Operations team. This person must have the drive to deliver as the core facilitator of the IT New Hire Orientation session for all San Francisco attendees, VIPs, and executive assistant business partners. We're looking for someone who can communicate effectively to the user base without technical jargon, but with a strong understanding of systems and software. The ideal candidate will have robust troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills with a background in the Mac OSX environment to maintain the first line of defense for all incoming inquiries. The candidate should be fearless with communication and feedback, and willing to learn from their mistakes.

What you'll do:

* Facilitate all IT on-boarding sessions, including executive members of the company
* First responder to escalations to the Training team
* Coordinate all remote new hire sessions, with a laser focus on our European offices
* Cross-functional work with the Helpdesk, Procurement and People teams
* Implement company-wide standards for on-boarding across our global offices

What we're looking for:

* Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to engage and influence others toward achieving common business goals
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as well as an aptitude for presenting
* Ability to identify a problem and work to not only resolve but improve processes
* Comfortable working with Google Apps for Business and workforce management systems
* Comprehensive understanding of root cause analysis and Mac OSX, from command line troubleshooting to resolving individual application failures
