IT Infrastructure Supervisor

Your experience in hands-on supervision of IT infrastructure will aid The Fellowship in continuing their mission, helping more than a million Jews around the world.

The IT Infrastructure Supervisor plans, organizes, manages, and ensures optimal and secure functionality of the organization's IT infrastructure that supports seamless business operations. This includes network infrastructure, server infrastructure, data communications, security systems, and telecommunications systems. This role is also responsible for managing the infrastructure team and end-user customer service, ensuring timely and accurate service levels, providing tier 3 support, creating clear and concise documentation, and sound operational procedures.

Some key areas of focus for this role include:

Infrastructure Maintenance and Repair

* Assess and plan for hardware/software updates
* Conduct regularly scheduled systems preventive maintenance
* Monitor and ensure infrastructure for optimal functionality
* Ensure contracts are up-to-date and maintain knowledge of contract parameters
* Manage and ensure effectiveness of security solutions
* Create and maintain related documentation
* Perform as the highest level internal subject matter expert

Customer Service

* Ensure exceptional service delivery to end-users and technical colleagues by entire infrastructure team
* Ensure standard end-user training is completed and documented
* Conduct regular assessments of end-user needs
* Provide Tier 3 technical support

Staff Management

* Serve as lead technical resource for the team
* Manage team to ensure optimized service levels
* Effectively manage daily employee relations and staff issues including scheduling, staffing, coaching, training and performance management.

Projects/Deployment

* Apply project management techniques to ensure proper assessment and deployment of projects
* Research/establish budgets for project needs
* Implement projects
* Assess network architecture
* Make recommendations for updates and other technical needs for the organization to the VP of Technology

Other

* Maintains system of keeping technical knowledge current.Apply learnings to day-to-day operations
* Maintain system of regular status reports to management

As the ideal candidate, you'll possess these qualities and experience:

* Bachelor's degree, technical degree or equivalent experience
* Minimum of 2 years of current experience as a technical supervisor.Team lead experience of at least 4 years will also be considered for supervisory background.
* 7+ years as a hands-on primary technical resource in a complex, multi-location network.This should include Tiers 1-3 help desk experience.
* MCSE certification(s) are preferred
* Demonstrated experience managing Windows Server through its full lifecycle
* Demonstrated experience managing a Cisco network through its full lifecycle
* Experience with the following applications: SQL, Exchange, Skype for Business, SharePoint, O365, Azure and application servers
* Experience with hybrid networks
* Strong initiative and attention to details.Strong analysis skills and sound judgement
* Project management/deployment experience.Experience documenting procedures
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with particularly strong listening skills to ascertain what users actually need versus their expressed need
* Ability to effectively present technical information to a non-technical audience
* Strong ability to prioritize and to manage multiple, conflicting priorities.
* Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and to practically apply new concepts or principles
