Information Technology IT Governance Specialist

Responsible for ensuring adherence to the Information Security Policy and standard and procedures. The position will facilitate continual process improvements and evolution as it relates to changes in technology and services provided to customers.

Responsibilities:

* Perform review and validation of documentation and evidence of compliance. Manage and ensure applicable remediation's and implementations are executed.
* Collaborate with peers on compliance schedules and deliverables. Identify and implement process improvements for internal processes and those related to other IT teams.
* Manage audit requests and review of evidence gathered from IT to ensure integrity, completeness and compliance.
* Manage and assess approval requests for elevated access of information or systems.
* Monitors/Administers Change Management procedures to ensure that changes are properly recorded.
* Perform random/regular audits of the change control processes and projects, determine and implement corrective actions as needed.
* Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.

Required Skills

* Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or discipline related to functional work or role with 3-5 years of relevant work experience OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience.
* Prior IT Audit, PCI, SOC and/or SOX audit experience is strongly preferred.
* Must be able to recognize anomalies and critical situations and respond appropriately.
* Must be able to communicate and interact with a variety of internal/external customers.
* Able to apply strong functional computer knowledge in utilizing Microsoft Windows, MAC, or other technical tools in completing assignments. May require knowledge of or ability to quickly learn specialized software to complete work assignments.
* Requires very good communication skills with ability to state messages in a clear manner by using language that is easy for others to understand.
* Must be able to proactively listen to others to understand issues and situations. Must be able to clearly articulate business needs to both internal and external customers.
