EAST COAST LOCATION + 50% AVERAGE TRAVEL

Position Summary:

IT Consultants are a Sirius field resource who use technical and industry experience to create client value. They work in collaboration with the sales team to clearly understand client business and technology requirements. Using established solution frameworks, IT Consultants provide both pre-sales and billable client consulting. They work with Sirius technology teams to craft client solutions and speed time-to-sale by architecting solutions that meet requirements, minimize deployment risk, and enhances client business value.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

* Participate in or lead DevOps sales efforts inclusive of customer meetings, white board briefing sessions, discovery sessions, workshops, writing Statements of Work, and budgeting
* Lead or participate in DevOps Consulting billable engagements
* Work with Client Executives and partners to develop Sirius DevOps sales opportunities
* Participate in DevOps Consulting engagements as an individual contributor developing deliverables such as assessments, workshops, strategies, roadmaps, and solution end states in detailed and executive level format
* Lead multi-discipline teams and integration efforts across the company in sales and billable engagement efforts
* Develop and deliver research or value added intellectual collateral in the DevOps field to customers and/or Sirius in selected industries or technical disciplines
* Provide technical architecture oversight, design risk mitigation, and/or integration for customer engagements that include multiple integrated practice solutions
* Be recognized within Sirius and by customer for expertise in a selected industry(ies) and IT discipline (s) of consultant choice that falls within Sirius portfolio
* Perform generalist and Hybrid Cloud (DC) Transformation Consulting on an as needed basis in the local geography

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or a related field
* Minimum ten (10) years' IT systems design and development and/or engineering and implementation experience, to include a minimum two (2) years IT Management experience
* Experience developing, testing and deploying production IT Services via an Agile methodology
* Experience delivering DevOps services
* Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

Other Position Requirements:

  • Strong functional understanding of the following technologies and their associated tools and vendors:
    * CI/CD - including pipeline, workflow, and deployment tools
    * Automation and Configuration Management (IaC) (On-Prem/Public Cloud/Hybrid)
    * Containerization and CaaS (On-Prem/Public Cloud/Hybrid)
    * Source Code and Artifact Repositories, including best practices for implementation and use
    * Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in DevOps Automation (CI/CD, Containers, Infrastructure as Code, Agile)
    * Enjoys learning and a collegial team-oriented environment
    * Demonstrated ability to take initiative
    * Demonstrated skills in facilitating diverse client and vendor technical resource teams to realize a fully integrated IT service solution
    * Proven collaboration and team skills
    * Demonstrated documentation, presentation, and proposal development skills
    * Demonstrated ability to multitask and to prioritize workload under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    * Demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision, independently and/or as a member of a project team
    * Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in one or more of the following industries:
    * Manufacturing Financial Services
    * Healthcare
    * Retail
    * Insurance
    * Education
    * Publishing
    * Ecommerce
    * Gaming
    * Other Industries considered as well





    Data Privacy and Security:

    Essential Functions:

    The position exists to provide technical consulting solutions to customers and as such requires the ability to travel to and from customer sites and interact with customers on an ongoing and regular basis.
