Position Overview

This position will be part of our dynamic and fast paced development team. You will be responsible for developing, enhancing and maintaining the core data processing platform in the company.

Overall Responsibilities:

* Gather business requirements and perform data and system analysis to translate business requirements into development specifications
* Assist in documenting the implementation and devising QA and UAT test plans for new system functionality.
* Support launching new businesses using existing processing and deliverable tools
* Assess and implement sound data quality and data validation processes for the NPD data processing platform.
* Have a good understanding of the NPD Systems and tools in order to provide timely and accurate support to resolve issues with system users and product/business people as they merge.
* Act as liaison amongst operation users, product managers, project managers, and developers in the analysis, design, configuration, testing, acceptance, adoptions, and maintenance of our core data processing platform.
* Collaborate with other IT/Ops departments throughout the development process to coordinate project activities, resources and timing.
* Provide direction to technical staff on business requirements, project priorities and data related questions.

Required Skills or Experience

* 3+ years experience as a Business/Systems/Data Analyst
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Must be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff to convey complex ideas
* Ability to translate business requirements into development specifications
* Proficient in database SQL; Knowledge of technical system analysis highly desirable
* Ability of reading data models with good understanding of basic database concepts
* Sharp analytical skills, curiosity to learn
* Working knowledge of SAS or R and Data Management is a plus
* Some programming or prototyping experience
* Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and Agile Process
* Must understand data and ability to solve problems
* Must be detail oriented and a team player

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor or above degree in computer science, math, statistics or related field

MBA a plus.
