The IT Analyst position assists staff in our Corporate Office and remote locations with the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and ongoing usability of desktop computers, peripheral equipment, network connectivity, software and related technology within established standards and guidelines.

Activities require interaction with application software and operating systems to diagnose and resolve problems. Analyst provides full support including specifications, installation, and testing of computer systems, services and peripherals within established standards and guidelines and assists in the maintenance and testing of network servers, services, and associated equipment.

The position utilizes one-on-one consultancy to end users at all levels and facility staff. Work is performed with little supervision and requires high levels of self-motivation and self-management. This position requires the ability to parallel task multiple projects or requests.

EDUCATION

* Requires a Degree in Computer Science or the equivalent in education and related experience
* MCSA or MCSE certification preferred

EXPERIENCE

* 2-3 years experience supporting Microsoft operating systems desktop/laptop PCs
* 2-3 years customer service experience
* 2 years in a healthcare IT support role preferred
* Experience analyzing & troubleshooting technology infrastructures
* Experience troubleshooting hardware issues and replacing hardware on both desktop, laptop PCs, and servers
* Experience installing software, patches, updates on Desktops, Laptops, Servers
* Experience troubleshooting networks (WAN, LAN, WLAN)
* Experience with Google Apps For Business
* Scripting experience, MS/Python/Ruby a plus

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

* Ensures network connectivity of all workstations, servers, phones and communication systems
* Assists with network assessment of CHC owned and managed hospitals
* Assists in assessment of network services for potential CHC hospitals and consulting clients
* Performs Active Directory, Servers administration, and support tasks
* May interact with numerous computer platforms in a multi-layered client server environment.
* Provides full support of desktop and network systems for break-fix, install, move, add, change, and preventative maintenance activities.
* Conducts routine hardware/software troubleshooting and problem resolution within the IT systems.
* Works with vendor support contacts to coordinate and resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software. Escalates unresolved problems to expedite resolution.
* Provides user orientation and training on new and upgraded hardware and software.
* Orders computer supplies
* Analyzes, plans, and coordinates system and server support activities
* Provides analytical, technical and problem resolution assistance
* Develops, documents, implements, and adheres to policies, procedures and standards related to system operations and application security
* Designs technology project plans including management of project time-lines and plan updates
* Monitors, tests and analyzes application performance across LAN, WAN, and wireless infrastructure to ensure the stable and efficient performance
* Implements and maintains enterprise back-up and disaster recovery plan
* Keeps abreast of developments in the desktop and server support field
* Performs other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
