Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW

The IT analyst works directly with all departments to quickly and effectively solve all technical issues, provides anticipatory support and oversees the smooth operation of the POS system and networking at all locations. They are an organized, self-starter with a heightened sense of urgency towards all issues.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

* Implement, manage, and maintain the companys primarily Windows-based office network, including printers, routers, switches, POS systems, cloud server, surveillance/security systems, and other networked devices, ensuring that all systems are performing at optimal levels.
* Provide regular routine maintenance for devices at our storefronts and off-site office.
* Set up, maintain, and repair company hardware / software, manage researching and purchasing new hardware and software.
* Maintain IT departments inventory
* Set up servers, virtual machines, firewalls, routers and switches.
* Provide internal technical support for our managers and staff both in-person and over email or phone.
* Troubleshoot issues as they occur and develop strategies for resolving or preventing them in the future.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in a speedy manner.
* Participate in planning and executing new build-outs and initiatives for the existing systems.
* Work closely with 3rd party technical support to troubleshoot services such as security systems, POS, or network issues.
* Maintain existing vendor relationships for IT.
* Train internal staff on company technology
* Fully understand and exhibit the Milk Bar ethos, embodying our core values and inspiring celebration. Serve as a brand ambassador, both internally and externally.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

* 2-4 year experience in IT/Tech Support or Administration
* Comfort working with both PC and Mac systems.
* Strong understanding of networks/ comfortable setting up both wired and wireless networks and troubleshooting conflicts, IP address issues, as well as configuring port forwarding.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, comfort in breaking down troubleshooting into easy steps.
* Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
* Ability to assess a situation quickly and manage changing priorities/ juggle multiple tasks.
* Flexible schedule and availability. Willingness to travel to store locations that might be located out of state. 10-15%
* Motivated self starter who can stay organized while working independently
* Familiarity with the following is a plus: Google G-Suite Apps, Microsoft Office, Meraki, Ubiquiti, Compeat, Brink POS, and Jira service desk.
