IT Advisor, Big Data (Architecture) - Financial Services Office (Manager) (Multiple Positions), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, Chicago, IL.

Work collaboratively with clients to transform their business through disruptive innovation enablement and transformational design solutions. Support clients in modernizing systems, processes and products to enhance business and customer-facing platforms and services to support high performance in a rapidly changing and competitive environment. Research emerging technologies to decide if installing them can increase the organization's efficiency and effectiveness. Devise ways to add new functionality to existing computer systems Design and implement new systems by choosing and configuring hardware and software. Oversee the installation and configuration of new systems to customize them for the organization.

Manage and motivate teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress. Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Cultivate business development opportunities.

Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40-45 hours per week, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems Management, or a related field and 7 years of work experience (5 years must be progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience).

With a bachelor's degree, must have 5 years of experience in all of the following:

* Strategic Big Data initiatives, focused in financial services.
* Architecting Big Data applications using a minimum of 3 of the following Hadoop technologies: Spark, MapReduce, YARN, HDFS, Hive, Impala, Oozie, HBase, Elasticsearch, or Cassandra.
* Working with Business Intelligence teams, Data Integration developers, Data Scientists, and Analysts and DBA's to deliver well-architected and scalable Big Data & Analytics eco-system
* Event stream processing technologies such as Spark streaming, Storm, Akka, or Kafka
* At least one programming language (Java, Scala, or Python)
* At least one major Hadoop platform (Cloudera, Hortonworks, or MapR)
* At least one Next Gen database (distributed, graph, or NoSql)
* SQL and scripting languages (including Python and R)
* Big data design patterns
* Agile delivery methodology

Alternatively, will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems Management, or related field and 5 years of work experience.

With a Master's degree, must have 3 years of experience in all of the following:

* Strategic Big Data initiatives, focused in financial services.
* Architecting Big Data applications using a minimum of 3 of the following Hadoop technologies: Spark, MapReduce, YARN, HDFS, Hive, Impala, Oozie, HBase, Elasticsearch, or Cassandra.
* Working with Business Intelligence teams, Data Integration developers, Data Scientists, and Analysts and DBA's to deliver well-architected and scalable Big Data & Analytics eco-system

Requires domestic and regional travel up to 80% to serve client needs
