Position Overview

Title: TSCM/IPMS Technician

Location: Springfield, VA 22150

Description:

* Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair the In-Place Monitoring Systems (IPMS), resolve and coordinate IPMS anomalies with TSCM personnel.
* Research and investigate new or improved industry practices and tradecraft for application to agency programs/operations.
* Review after action and investigative reports to determine if changes or corrective action is required and develop new or modified administrative program policies, regulations, goals, or objectives, and complete and maintain IPMS projects according to time-tables established internally.
* Conduct Daily IPMS activities to include tactical analysis, strategic analysis, operations and maintenance tasks, and troubleshooting/repairing system malfunctions.
* Perform Radio Frequency signal of interest searches. Assess and locate signals of interest. Develop wireless security systems and develop/maintain wireless concept of operations.
* Recommend and provide guidance for Agency security elements to include providing recommendations and guidance for new processes and systems, assisting in determining best practices related to IPMS and wireless efforts. Ensure IPMS technicians understand and comply with IPMS regulations. Provide recommendations and guidance for facilities under construction.
* Ensure compliance with ICD 705, Physical Security Standards for SCIFs, and DoD standards for collateral areas.
* Identify physical and acoustical security deficiencies and develop corrective actions to mitigate the identified deficiencies.
* Prepare specialized technical risk assessment products, TSCM reports of inquiry, after action reports, tailored briefings, and other administrative communication necessary to support the CI mission.
* Provide technical advice and assistance as it relates to CI and TSCM.
* Assist Certified TEMPEST Technical Authority (CTTA) with technical security plans, policy and execution; assess electronic processing equipment for security vulnerabilities.

Qualifications

Qualifications Required:

* Shall have a minimum of 7 years CI experience, with at least 5 years of federal TSCM experience.
* Shall have skills in operating an automated campus-wide IPMS system; strong background in RF theory; RF direction-finding skillset; understanding and application of TSCM procedures; knowledge of TSCM and CI policy documents; experience with CI operations; strong oral and written communication skills; time management experience; ability to work within a team construct.
* Shall have an Interagency Training Center (ITC) TSCM Certification.
* Shall possess TSCM Cyber certification.
* Shall possess A +, Network +, and Sec + Certifications in accordance with DoD 8140 requirements.
* Shall have telephone Security experience.
* Shall have RF Engineering background, and be a credentialed graduate of an accredited federal or DoD CI training academy.
* Shall possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Security Clearance: TS

Special Access / Access Eligibility: SCI

Polygraph: Willing to take CI poly

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Experience: 7 years of experience

Additional Qualifications Desired:

* DoD 8570 Information Assurance Training (IAT) II
* Possess post-graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a Related Discipline
