Job Description

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 1 year of software engineering or related experience.

Our Opportunity

The Integration Software Engineer will be responsible for developing SaaS platform and applications in Oracle's Health Sciences Global Business Unit. This person will work independently to help build out our technology platform using technologies like Java, Mulesoft, Node.js, Node.js and Angular.js. You'll work with a rock star engineering team that's passionate about building the first study startup platform of its kind for our pharmaceutical clients. You must be willing to collaborate and help others on the team as necessary, and be a solid team player. This position is an individual contributor (no direct reports).

We're based in the financial district near the Embarcadero.

What you'll do...

* Advance the state of the art in building a SaaS product with Java, Mulesoft, Node.js, Ruby on Rails and AngularJS.
* Expand our business process integration solution to enable our platform to more easily exchange data with third party platforms in a scalable and reusable way
* Full stack development on a SaaS enterprise application that's streamlining workflow processes in an important industry.
* Work with other top-notch engineers, PMs and QA in our downtown San Francisco office (right near the Embarcadero station).
* Operate as a member of the goBalto agile development team.

Skills you have...

* Minimum of 2 years' experience Software development using technologies like Java, Node.js, Node.js, Angular.js
* Strong data modeling and SQL skills.
* Proven experience with unit testing and test frameworks.
* Git or similar distributed SCM tools.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrable expertise and recent experience with the following is a plus:

o Enterprise SaaS architectures

o Service-oriented architectures

o Mulesoft (or similar) frameworks for business process orchestration

o Familiarity with cloud-based deployments

o Queuing, multi-threaded and real-time streaming systems

o Reporting and analytics
