Integration Engineer

Key Role:

Serve as an application interface technical subject matter expert providing oversight to interface development efforts. Ensure coordination with necessary stakeholders. Provide technical integration input for a portfolio of assigned systems. Review technical documentation from development teams. Serve as a technical lead in discussions between multiple development teams developing interfaces. Identify technical issues and risks associated with timelines and implementation of interfaces.

Basic Qualifications:

* 15+ years of experience with systems integration activities
* Experience with creating strategies and plans for the integration of multiple IT systems or subsystems into an operational unit, including ensuring full functional and performance capabilities are retained
* Experience in coordinating with development and user teams to assess and address risks, goals and needs
* Experience with introducing new hardware or software into a new or existing environment while minimizing disruption and mitigating risks
* Experience with the VA VistA system and Cerner or Electronic Health Record (EHR) deployment
* Experience with complex system messaging interactions leveraging middle tier solutions, including Rhapsody and HealthShare and HL7 messaging standards and system integration
* Experience with using DoDAF or UML architecture models
* Knowledge of the engineering and technical aspects of system or medical device interfaces, including those in a lab
* Ability to obtain a security clearance
* BA or BS degree or 18 years of experience with systems integration in lieu of a degree

Additional qualifications:

* Experience in the VA
* Experience with integrating EHR a plus
* BA or BS degree in CS, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent field
