Overview

Iatric is seeking and Integration Engineer to join our amazing team!

The Integration Engineer will play a critical role to the Professional Services team success. Specifically, this position will be responsible for design validation, development and maintenance of community-centered healthcare integration solutions delivered to Iatric Systems clients including private and public sector health systems, community health providers, HIEs and RHIOs, accountable care organizations, etc.

This is a remote position.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Receives mentorship and advisement from the Senior Integration Engineer, as needed, to design, develop, and maintain interfaces that facilitate workflows in testing and then production environment. Depending on the customer's environment and the details of the engagement, utilizes a variety of integration technologies and software solutions including, but not limited to the following; interface engines, HIE platforms, EMPIs, data bases, as well as specific Iatric Systems solutions.
* Utilizes knowledge of data formats and interoperability standards such as, but not limited to; HL7 2.x and 3.x, FHIR, X.12, protocols of MQ Series, TCP/IP, and FTP, Java, C#.Net language, WCF Web Services/WCF Data Services, XML and schemas (DTD, XSD), and IHE integration profiles.
* Utilizes scripting languages and tools such as Java scripting, PERL or TCL to enhance integration. Document message specifications and technical requirements, including but not limited to reverse engineering of existing healthcare IT interfaces to capture requirements when needed; focus on HL7 2.x and 3.x and FHIR standards
* Maintains and documents integration workflows, routes and communication port configurations and scripts to ensure proper versioning and control of upgrades
* Monitors, configures and tunes the configuration of interfaces for high availability once deployed in production environments. Responds to dashboard alerts related to connectivity and payload issues
* Creates and maintains internal knowledge base, best practices, technical fact sheets and other technical expertise as needed and diagnose platform technical issues when requested
* Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with a variety of group members, both functional and technical, and other organizations with keen project management skills to define requirements, test, validate technical functions, implement, troubleshoot and resolve issues to successfully meet project deadlines.
* Provides supporting documentation.
* Performs other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

* Self-motivated and able to work on individual initiatives within a virtual setting, while supporting and contributing to a cross-functional team environment
* Strong research skills and proven ability to synthesize complex information into relevant and actionable key findings
* A passion for continuous learning and task-orientated with a high sense of accuracy and urgency to complete responsibilities in a fast pace environment to meet deadlines
* Excellent communication skills, verbal and written with strong listening ability to capture essential needs of the customer
* Project management of interface development across multiple client sites
* Experience with healthcare interoperability and messaging standards, including but not limited to; HL7 2.x, HL7 3.x, HL7 FHIR, IHE integration profiles and technical frameworks, and X12 HIPAA transactions and code sets
* Experience with interface engines and/or enterprise service bus architectures
* Experience working with SOAP and REST based web services
* Experience working in an AGILE environment
* Working knowledge of networking protocols, (TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, SOAP)
* Sufficient knowledge of various data base environments, such as MS-SQL, mySQL, PostgreSQL
* Sufficient knowledge of scripting languages (JavaScript, Python)
* Sufficient knowledge of XML technologies (SML, XSD, XSL/SXLT)

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related field or equivalent related work experience, plus a minimum of three plus (3) years of experience developing interfaces that integrate clinical and ancillary systems such as registration/admissions, provider order entry, medication administration, charting, electronic medical records, hospital information systems
* Minimum of a Level 1 Certification in one or more interface engine platforms, such as; Corepoint, Cloverleaf, Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, OpenLink, Qvera, and/or Ensemble
* Ability to work efficiently from a remote home office during business hours without interruption.
* DSL or cable modem high-speed internet accessibility from home office
* Valid Driver's License and personal vehicle
* Business travel as required for specific engagements and projects (estimated at less than 20%)

Preferred Qualifications:

* 2+ years of healthcare technology and integration experience
